Biomass pellet mills are used to compress processed agricultural and forestry residues, as well as waste wood and many other materials, into pellets. This process increases energy density, reduces volume, lowers moisture content, and improves combustion efficiency. These biomass pellets have become a popular fuel choice, widely used in industrial boilers and residential heating. Utilizing this renewable energy source helps reduce dependence on traditional energy sources and mitigate environmental impact. The application of biomass pellet mills provides a viable path for the effective utilization of biomass resources, promoting the development of sustainable energy.

Excessive moisture in raw materials negatively impacts pellet mill efficiency and output. We recommend drying high-moisture materials to an appropriate level before processing. This improves production efficiency while aligning with energy conservation and carbon reduction practices.
xrido's environmentally friendly biomass pelleting solutions are designed for large-scale, high-load, and continuous operation. Their superior performance and innovative design ensure efficient production. The equipment is robust, easy to maintain, and energy-efficient. We are committed to providing sustainable, economical, and environmentally friendly biomass solutions to support our customers in achieving sustainable production.
Biomass pellet machines use agricultural and forestry waste such as sawdust, straw, rice husks, and bark as raw materials. Through pretreatment and processing, they solidify these materials into high-density pellet fuel, an ideal alternative to kerosene. This saves energy and reduces emissions, offering significant economic and social benefits. It is a clean and renewable energy source.
Biomass pellet machine classification: Biomass pellet machines are divided into flat die pellet machines and conventional biomass pellet mills.
Process flow: Crushing → Conveying → Molding → Finished product storage. Biomass pellet machine application conditions:

This equipment can successfully complete the biomass fuel production process within a specified material range (applicable material length: 3-50mm) and under specified material moisture content (10%-30%) and length conditions. Biomass pellet machine technical parameters

Biomass pellet machine features:
- Biomass pellet machines have a high degree of automation, high output, low price, low power consumption, and simple operation. If no electric power is available, a diesel engine can be used instead.
- High Material Adaptability: Biomass pellet mills are adaptable to various biomass raw materials, from powdered straw to 50mm in length, with a moisture content between 10-25%. Straw briquetting machines can process all these materials.
- Automatic Pressure Roller Adjustment Function: Utilizing the principle of bidirectional rotation of the thrust bearing, the pressure angle is automatically adjusted to prevent material clumping and machine stalling, ensuring stable output.
- Simple and Convenient Operation: Biomass pellet mills are highly automated, requiring minimal labor. Manual feeding or automatic feeding via conveyor is possible.
The biomass pellet mill operates using a direct-drive motor. The motor is connected to the reducer shaft via a gear coupling. After a 90° reversal, the horizontal motor drives the vertical cast hollow transfer shaft. The main shaft then drives the pressure rollers to press the inner surface of the die, completing the pressing process.
What can be used as raw material for biomass pellets?
- Wood-based materials: Sawdust, wood chips, tree trunks, branches, roots, bark, scraps, waste materials, construction templates, pallets, etc.
- Straw-based materials: Cotton stalks, corn stalks, wheat stalks, etc.
- Rice husks: Rice husks, peanut shells, etc.

A biomass pellet mill is a production machine that processes eucalyptus, pine, birch, poplar, fruit wood, crop straw, and bamboo chips into sawdust-like residue to produce biomass fuel. The new generation of vertical ring die pellet mills effectively solves the shortcomings of difficult pelleting and poor results in producing coarse biological fibers. The main drive adopts high-efficiency belt drive, the ring die adopts quick-release clamp type, and the feeding adopts frequency conversion speed regulation feeding to ensure uniform feeding. The door cover is equipped with a forced feeder. It adopts internationally advanced manufacturing technology and can customize high-quality dies for various raw materials for your various pellet mills, so as to extend your equipment life, improve product quality, and reduce consumption costs per ton.
